New Year's Eve buffet
A New Year's eve buffet will be held in the Crows's Nest from 8:30pm (£10 per person).
Annual Dinner Dance
The 59th Annual Dinner Dance and Presentation of Trophies was held in the Royal Feathers Hotel on Saturday 19 October. The toast to ‘Our Distinguished Guests’ was proposed by the Commodore Crawford Mcleary wit Neil Peacock responding ‘On Behalf of the Guests’. Diners danced to duo ‘Pete and Steve’. The MC was Mike Masters. Trophies were presented by the Club President, Aline Horton.
Cruisers: Apothecary – Barbara Jones, Blue Hawk; Parker Pot , Aberporth Bay Cup, Austin Tankard – Chris Seal, Brainstorm; JR Davies Tankard, RDB Cup – Mark Willis, Activator. Dinghies: frostbite – Tom Powell, Phantom; Thursday Trophy – Gwynfor Jones, Laser.
Trophies presented previously: Marlborough.Cup – Frankie Jones; Wild Rover – Trystan Seal; Mackerel - Chris Willis; Madoc Sextant – C Seal. Special achievements by members: Mark Willis, Abersoch Keel Boat week; Chris Seal, Round The Island Race; Tilly James, Welsh 29er squad; will Best, navigator on winning boat in the Sydney - Hobart Race.
2014 Frostbite Sailing

2014 CARDIGAN BAY REGATTA
Dates for the 140th annual Cardigan Bay Regatta have been confirmed as 17, 18, 19th August (main day is 18th August).

FROSTBITE DINGHY SERIES: The Frostbite began seven years ago when a few hardy sailors decided to take on the challenge of winter sailing in New Quay. Since then the sailing series has grown in strength every year and now regularly has a turn out of ten or more dinghies.

Local Sailing Clubs
NQYC enjoys good relations with local sailing clubs, including Tresaith Mariners, Aberaeron and Aberystwyth. Tresaith Mariners is a club well known for its enthusiastic catarmaran sailing and enviable social calendar.
